The One for the Aethists

Well...Who is God? Yeah...Yeah...ive been through all the science material...Read everything on evolution etc..etc... I just have a few basic questions...According to the Big Bang Theory, there was 200 million light years of matter which exploded into the universe. Now, where did those 200 million light years of matter come from in the first place? My next question, what lies outside the realms of this so called universe? Next thing, who came first, the chicken or the egg? Well, if you say chicken it must have come from an egg and vice-versa. Going back, the first chicken or egg, where did THAT come from? Where did the first protozoa, or bacteria or whatever Darwin said come from? What is the purpose of all this, that we are on this earth at this very moment? These are questions to which the aethists say there are no answers. But then, wait a second...Aethists believe in science, right? And in science, everything happens for a reason..So, from the two arguments above, we can either say that God exists, and have the answers explained. Or, we can say that the reason for existance is that someone created them, because the first speck of matter MUST have come from somewhere, right? It didn't just drop out of the sky...I call this creation (and let me make this clear, I call this creation) the whole phenomenon as X. I also call this first speck of matter as Y. Now, since I don't know what X and Y are, as a basic scientific theory of assumption (which these aethists follow), I call X and Y as God. (You can call it Matter X, Or Person Y if you want). The thing is that God is not a thing or a person. Nor is he the answers to the questions we do not know in exams. That's very trivial. God is that first matter from whom we have evolved. God is the creator of the first bit of matter. Also, since everyone has evolved from that first piece of matter, that's why there is God in everyone of us. Let me make it very clear - I am not talking about religion here. That is a manifestation of man. I am just talking about God.
I rest my case

N.B. This started off as a post to describe a certain Business term...but a certain conversation changed the direction :) I will come to the term in a later post

  1. I didn't quite get the purpose of this blog? or does it have one ?

From your title "The one for the aethists" and from your general dislike for their kind, is this a rant against them ?

Since, you are requesting comments from users, I suggest that when you post a blog bordering on seriousness, such as this one, have an explicit purpose so that it is easy for most naive bloggers ( such as me ) to follow.

    Hope it helps..

  3. ḧi dev,

a correction there...¨200 million light years of matter¨ ..Light year is a unit of distance...and not of mass..So the sentence is technically incorrect, but I get your point .. ;)

Astro-physics is one of the few branches of science which frequently contradict religious sentiments. Whats beyond our universe? Scientists get pretty creative here.. They talk of multiverses, where you/your forms exist parallelly with our universe. Imagine them (universes) packed as a can of sardines! :) .. Well next question would be , "Who packed the universes up?¨ . Science is entering into the realm of the unknown, slowly but steadily, we are getting the facts which were not known to man during the times when our religions were ´founded/established/...´'.....

I quote Einstein, ¨Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.¨ ... A delicate balance...
